Jackson Chamber of Commerce has moved to the Commons on Burlington Road in Jackson (the old welfare building).

Please continue to pray for a 10-week old with a cancerous tumor.

Andrew and Haley Carter have a new son: Colter Waylon weighed 8 pounds, 11 ounces, and is 21 inches long. He is a beautiful baby!

Get well wishes to Larry Wallace who had a hospital stay. Moose Gallagher still needs prayers.

I was saddened to learn of the death of former Apple Festival Queen Phyllis Claar Wickline. She was a beautiful lady.

Twenty-eight classmates and spouses attended the 70th birthday party for the Class of ‘67. In total there were 44 attendees. Diana Fenwick did an awesome job of taking care of us at LaRosa’s. It was good to see Sudell Shepherd Young there. She had a stroke a couple weeks ago. One of our faithful attendees, Larry Donahoe, was in the James and missed out on the phone. When I went to mail classmate Georgia Durst Rohr her picture, I discovered she is living in Gallipolis after living in South Carolina many years.

I couldn’t believe all the calls WSAZ had when warning folks about a possible tornado, wanting them to stop so they could watch James on Jeopardy! I read another TV post that in that area people were calling and wanting to watch the Bachelor!

Rumor has a Texas Roadhouse being built in front of old K-Mart building.

We lost two Bloomfield kids: Linda Scurlock Goheen (Class of 1962) and Mildred Thornton Lindley (Class of 1960).

Thoughts to ponder — I asked God for a bike. I know He doesn’t work that way, so I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness!

Another thought — Dove chocolate tastes better than Dove Soap!
