I was talking with Bill Shelton and I told him I heard Belisios bought his house for further expansion. He looked at me and said “Is that sooooo?” Then he did his other customary reply of “True Story!”

Kim Frame bought the Callahan Insurance building. Callahan Insurance is staying but the other side will be the Pizza Pub, carry-out only.

Whit’s Custard now has a drive thru.

Liberty Lane Quilting has gone in the former Engraving Plus. Comments on Facebook say it is real nice.

Work going on at the old Singer Sewing Machine building.

Frank and Lana Mooney have bought the old Livesay Farm at the corner of Four Mile and Route 93.

Bubba shot the jukebox for playing sad songs, and if Speedway don’t get the gas price sign fixed where the two constantly blinks, I may have to find Bubba! I try not to look but always do and it drives me batty! Just a joke — the folks at Speedway are great people.

John Dupree has left for U.S. Air Force in Texas, and Brad Henry has joined the Coast Guard. Thanks for serving our country. My “Honorary” grandson, Jonathon Stafford, is in Spain being trained for the next step in his career in the Army.

Retired Home Ec teacher at Oak Hill, Martha (Marty) Miller, will be 91 on Jan. 28. Let’s get her 91 cards: her address is 268 Mill St., Oak Hill, OH 45656. She loves cards!

Get well wishes and prayers needed for Kyle Jenkins who has been ill for some time. This time he went to Cleveland Clinic for answers.

Robin Beatty and her granddaughter Emma Figgins both had hospital stays. Robin’s granddaughter Kasey Riley has signed to play basketball for the University of Rio Grande.

I was saddened to learn of the death of classmate Susie Jarvis Harper. She had been ill for some time.

I lost a friend when Jimmy Duhl passed away this week. He knew everyone in town from his years working at Coll Auto Sales. He used to run errands for me on his lunch break and I bought him lunch. He could tell me something and make me laugh. One day he made copies for me and I told him he could go back to Coll’s and tell them he knew how to make copies. He grinned and said, “Let’s just keep this between us.” Goodbye ole scout. Sure gonna miss your smiling face.

Tom and Sharon McWilliams are happy with grandchild number seven: Hadley Rae McWilliams. She weighed seven pounds and three ounces and is a real beauty. Parents are Josh and Kayla.

Thoughts to ponder: The sweetest time of day is when you pray because you are talking to the One who loves you the most.

Another thought: Being a good man means being a good son, brother, father, friend and hard worker. All this dignifies a man.

Another thought: So after winning the game, I decided to throw the ball into the crowd, like on TV. Apparently, it is not acceptable in bowling!
