RIO GRANDE — The Buckeye Hills Career Center SkillsUSA chapter had four teams who placed at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference held in Louisville, Kentucky on June 24-28.

Briana O’Dell, Madison Turner, and Jennifer Spires brought home third place (Bronze) in the nation in Career Pathway Showcase – Health Services Team competition.

Xzavion Haskins, Shawn Ward and Hunter Sanders took home first place (Gold) in the nation in American Spirit Team competition.

Dezerrae Nelson, April Sherwood and Kirstin James placed first place (Gold) in the nation in Outstanding Chapter Team competition. Keyan Jenkins and Garrett Shively competed in the Chapter of Excellence Team.

This team was one of 24 teams nationwide honored at the SkillUSA National Conference and was one of eight schools in the nation selected for Models of Excellence - Technical Division.
