Have you ever wondered if there is a real purpose or cause for your life? This is not a new question, for David asked the same question in the Bible.
The Old Testament tells the story of David going out to fight the giant Goliath, who was the enemy of God’s people; while the rest of the army was afraid to face Goliath in battle, David said, “Is there not a cause?”
There was a cause, and God used David to kill Goliath and deliver Israel from the Philistines. Although the circumstances seemed impossible and the enemy was frightening, Davis said “I come to the in the name of the Lord” (1 Samuel 17:45). The Lord was with him and gave hime victory.
We also face conflicts and circumstances that may be frightening or hopeless. But the Bible teaches us that God has a will or cause for each person’s life, and this gives purpose to our existence.
When we are willing to obey God and follow his will or cause for our life, he will show us what we should do and what we should be,
