The Oak Hill Police Department and Jackson Police Department each participated in “No-Shave November” with each donating to different causes.
No-Shave November refers to an annual charity event where men don’t shave, groom, or cut their facial hair for the entire month of November as a way of raising money for a certain cause.
The Oak Hill Police Officers made a donation to the Dave Alcox Scholarship Fund. Sgt. Scott Hughes, Ptl. Brandon Morgan and Chief Dave Ward participated in this month long event.
The Jackson Police focused their event on growing awareness and monetary donations towards the Jackson County Dog Pound. The officers were able to raised $650 for the pound.
