COALTON — The royalty applications for the upcoming Coalton Fall Harvest Festival are now available.

The deadline to return an application is Aug. 30. The application must be hand-delivered to Advisor Laura Zachariah at Andrea’s Prom and Bridal, located at 261 Main St. in Jackson, by 5 p.m. that day.

The contest are open to all girls residing in Jackson County (Coalton, Jackson, Oak Hill or Wellston) and must be 6-17 years old as of Jan. 1, 2019. There will be a non-refundable application fee of $20.

The categories are:

  • Little Mister — 6-9 years old
  • Little Miss — 6-9 years old
  • Jr. Queen — 10-13 years old
  • Queen — 14-17 years old and still in middle/high school

The contests will be held on Thursday, Sept. 12, at the James A. Rhodes Community Building. The contest will begin at 7 p.m.

There will be a mandatory informational meeting on Monday, Sept. 2, at 7 p.m. at the Coalton Mayor’s Office for contestants and parents/guardians. Those not attending will not be permitted to try out. During this meeting all contest and eligibility criteria will be discussed.

Closed door interviews will be decided on at the mandatory meeting; interview attire should be worn for this portion of the contest. Pageant attire should be worn for contest (ball gown or straight-fitted).
