There are three chances to see fireworks in Jackson County this year: in Jackson, Oak Hill and Wellston.

There will be three opportunities to catch a patriotic fireworks display in Jackson County this 4th of July.

The Jackson 4th of July Committee, in partnership with many other organizations, have teamed up to celebrate Independence Day. Jackson’s fireworks will be shot from the usual location at Eddie Jones Park off of Harding Avenue, beginning at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3.

Oak Hill

The second chance to watch some fireworks in Jackson County will be in Oak Hill, hosted by the Oak Hill Athletic Boosters. Those fireworks will be set off on Thursday, July 4 at 10 p.m. just above the old Oak Hill High School football field, located at Western Avenue and East Cross Street.

The third and final chance to watch fireworks in Jackson County will be Wellston Main Street’s “Celebration of Our Nation” event. That firework show will be on Saturday, July 6 at dusk (approximately 9:15 p.m.) near Wellston Fire Department Station #2, located on 2nd Avenue in Wellston.
