WELLSTON — The annual Buckeye Furnace Fall Festival is slated for Saturday, Oct. 5 at the historical Buckeye Furnace site.

The Friends of Buckeye Furnace group which manages the historic site for the Ohio History Connection hosts the annual event. The festival is being held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Buckeye Furnace Historic site is located at 123 Buckeye Park Road in Wellston.

During the festivities, visitors can check out the furnace, which is a reconstructed charcoal-fired blast furnace, one of many that once operated in southeastern Ohio’s Hanging Rock Iron Region.

The festival always includes food and entertainment, as well as many area vendors displaying and selling their products. The Buckeye Furnace Company Store Gift Shoppe will be open as well.
