Classes are free and open to anyone over the age of 18. Individuals work at his or her own pace and have the choice to work in small groups, one-on-one with an instructor, or alone. These classes offer basic skills improvement, GED preparation, resume` writing and college preparation classes to help students pass college entrance tests.
Official GED Pre-Tests are given at all of the A.B.E. centers, local One-Stops and at the Samuel Bossard Memorial Library. Upon successful completion of the Pre-Test, a fee waiver is issued that entitles the individual to take the Official GED test at no cost.
These classes are offered at the following locations: GDC Ohio Avenue, 446-7800; Gallia Metro Estates, 446-6734; and Buckeye Hills Career Center 245-5334 ext. 270. Summer hours are Monday through Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. Evening hours at the Buckeye Hills A.B.E. center will resume August 25th. Classes are held from 4 to 7 p.m.
