JACKSON — ERA Martin and Associates, in conjunction with the Jackson County Dog Pound, held a dog adoption event during the Jackson Apple Festival.
Jackson County Dog Warden Deb Fout told The Courier that it was the first time they had ever had a dog adoption event during the festival.
There was a total of three doggies up for adoption, and by the end of the night, all three were adopted. The dog’s names were Sapphire, Emerald, and Diamond.
“We are going to do this annually,” stated Robin Scaggs with ERA Martin and Associates. “We had such a good time and for such a great cause.”
Scaggs added, “We love helping with what we can do at our office to support the Jackson County Dog Pound. If you are thinking about getting a dog, please consider adopting a dog from the pound that needs a forever home.”
The pound also collected $196 in donations from the community.
“Once again, thank you so much to our wonderful supporting community,” Fout said.
