WELLSTON — To wrap up this year’s Wellston OHillCo Festival was the crowning of the 2020 Wellston OHillCo Festival Royalty.

On Saturday, Sept. 7, a large crowd gathered at the Hozer’s Pizza Stage to watch the much-anticipated crowning of the OHillCo Queen, Jr. Miss Queen and Little Miss Queen and their courts.

Wellston OHillCo Society President Joe Mahle had the honor of announcing the new festival royalty at the close of the 2019 OHillCo Festival.

Crowned as the 2020 Wellston Ohio Hill Country Festival Little Miss Queen was Brenlei Floyd. Macy Thompson was named first attendant, while the title of second attendant went to Karlee McCorkle.

Floyd is the 8-year-old daughter of Mikel Floyd and Cassandra Hacker. Thompson is the 7-year-old daughter of Phillip and Michelle Thompson. McCorkle is the 6-year-old daughter of Angie Whalen and Mike McCorkle.

Crowned as the 2020 Wellston Ohio Hill Country Festival Jr. Miss Queen was Maizie Wyatt. Hannah Peterson was named first attendant, while the title of second attendant went to Maggie Lambert.

Wyatt is the 11-year-old daughter of Thomas and Jessica Wyatt. Peterson is the 12-year-old daughter of Matt and Amanda Peterson. Lambert is the 12-year-old daughter of Jason and Jessie Wilson and Tim and Jessie Lambert.

Crowned as the 2020 Wellston Ohio Hill Country Festival Queen was Chloe Johnson. Isabella Womeldorf was named first attendant, while the title of second attendant went to Leslie Hartley.

Johnson is the 16-year-old daughter of Reed and Misty Johnson and Brandi Johnson. She will be in 11th grade at the Wellston High School. Her special honors include being on the honor roll being accepted into Buckeye Hills.

Womeldorf is the 17-year-old daughter of Eric and Carly Womeldorf and Mandy and Conrad Harris. She is a senior at Wellston High School. Her special honors include honor roll all three years, being Senior Class Representative and Color guard Captain, and two years of varsity lettering in cheer. Her hobbies include cheering, color guard, church worship group and volunteer work.

Hartley is the 15-year-old daughter of Leah and Gilbert Hartley. She will be a sophomore at Wellston High School. Her special honors and awards include being on the superintendent’s list and earning varisty letters in band and bowling. Her hobbies and interests include band, Rhapsody and bowling.

The Wellston Ohio Hill Country Festival Royalty will travel to many parades, festivals and events over the next year.
