JACKSON — Last week, the Jackson Lioness Club’s Candy Shoppe officially opened its doors.
The candy shoppe opened for the season on Monday, Nov. 18, at 235 Broadway St. in Jackson.
The shoppe will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will be closed on Sundays.
The Jackson Lioness Club’s Candy Shoppe has been in operation for over 30 years. The shoppe is run by volunteers that help bag and sell candy every day until the candy is gone.
All proceeds from the candy sales are donated to local organizations, such as Jackson City Library, Jackson Food Pantry, Markay Cultural Arts Center, Pilot Dogs, eye research, diabetes research, sight and hearing, various Lions Eye Associations, Local Nursing Homes, Jr. Sr. Stay at Home Party, Lioness Club Scholarships, L.C.I.F., Ohio Lions Eye Research and Central Ohio Eye Bank.
