WELLSTON — The Little Miss OHillCo Queen Contest will be held Friday, Aug. 16, at 7 p.m. at Wellston High School. The contestants will be narrowed down to the top five.

Cost of admission to the contest is $3; children under three years old will be admitted for free. Refreshments will also be available to purchase. Food and drink will not be permitted to be brought into the high school.

Below are the Little Miss Queen contestants:

  • Presley Childers is the 7-year-old daughter of John and Jennifer Childers. Presley is a 2nd-grader at Bundy Elementary School. Her hobbies and interests include swimming, riding bikes, cooking with her dad and mushroom hunting.
  • Macy Thompson is the 7-year-old daughter of Phillip and Michelle Thompson. Macy is a 2nd grader at Bundy Elementary. Her interests and hobbies include making crafts, playing in her kitchen & cook, go mushroom hunting, 4-wheeler riding and jeeping.
  • Karlee McCorkle is the 6-year-old daughter of Angie Whalen and Mike McCorkle. Karlee is in 1st grade at Bundy Elementary. Her hobbies and interests include playing softball, sewing with the sewing machine to make purses and drawing pictures of dogs.
  • Katherine Manring is the 6-year-old daughter of Ashleigh and Charlie Manring. Katherine is a 1st grader at Bundy Elementary. Her hobbies and interests include coloring, swimming, riding the golf cart and singing with her cousins.
  • Ava Fenwick is the 7-year-old daughter of Amber and Nathan Fenwick. Ava is in 1st grade at Bundy Elementary. Her hobbies and interests include cheerleading, playing softball, drawing and gymnastics.
  • Kyra Glass is the 7-year-old daughter of Catherine Glass. Kyra is in 1st grade at Bundy Elementary School. Her hobbies and interests include girl scouts, ballet, school, cheerleading, cheetahs, church, reading and drawing.
  • Brenlei Floyd is the 8-year-old daughter of Mikel Floyd and Cassandra Hacker. Brenlei will be in 3rd grade at Wellston Intermediate School. Her hobbies and interests include cheerleading, softball and swimming.

There will be another contest held during the festival on Thursday Sept. 5 to narrow down to three finalists. The top three finalist results will be sealed until Saturday, Sept. 7, when the Little Miss queen and her court will be named at the close of the Wellston OHillCo Festival.
