FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP — An Oak Hill woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash over the weekend.
At approximately 8:46 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 4, emergency responders were dispatched to an injury crash that occurred on Route 93 near milepost nine in Franklin Township in Jackson County.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s report, Jazzelle Tribble, 18, of Oak Hill, was driving a 2009 Nissan Versa north on Route 93. Tribble lost control of her vehicle and the vehicle traveled left of the centerline. Tribble’s vehicle then traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck an embankment, and overturned before coming to rest.
The Patrol reported that Tribble was transported by the Jackson County EMS to Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. She was then transported by ambulance to Grant Medical Center in Columbus, for additional medical treatment. Her injuries did not appear to be life-threatening and the use of a seat belt minimized injuries.
Agencies at the scene included the Jackson Fire Department, the Jackson County E.M.S., Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and Ron’s Towing.
Route 93 was shut down as a result of the crash for approximately 25 minutes. The Patrol reminded that all motorists should wear their seat belts on each trip and to avoid distractions while operating a motor vehicle.
The crash remains under investigation.
