OAK HILL — The Oak Hill Police Department has added a new police officer to the force.
Oak Hill Mayor Rob Leonard swore-in Gary Waldron, 25, of Gallipolis, as a full-time officer on Wednesday, Sept. 11. Waldron is a 2012 graduate of Oak Hill High School. He also completed the Buckeye Hills Career Center’s law-enforcement program.
He has been employed with the University of Rio Grande Campus Police, Village of Coalton, Village of Rio Grande, City of Gallipolis, and Gallia County Sheriff’s Office.
Waldron started his duties on Tuesday, Sept. 10, and was hired 6-0 by Oak Hill Village Council on August 27.
