JACKSON — The new Gordmans store in the Jackson Square Shopping Center is set to open later this month.
It takes the place of Peebles, which closed earlier this year with plans to reopen as a Gordmans.
Stage Stores Inc., which owns both store chains, told The Courier it would open 36 Gordmans stores in June, including 25 throughout Ohio. By the end of 2019 the company has plans to open nearly 150 Gordmans stores across the country. Gordmans is described as being an “off-price” store, meaning it sells brand-named goods at less than the normal retail price.
The Jackson store is scheduled to open June 27.
