JACKSON — The City of Jackson is reporting that utility bills were mailed through the local post office on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020. Due to an issue with postal services, customers may or may not receive a bill.
As a result, the city utility department is informing customers to call the office at 740-286-7007 or 740-286-5562 to inquire about the amount that is due. Normal due dates are the 15 and 20 of each month.
Due to President’s Day, the 15th due date is extended until Feb. 18, by 4 p.m. in office or 4:30 p.m. in the “night drop” to avoid penalty. City officials advise that residents do not put cash in the night drop.
