LONDONDERRY — A one-vehicle crash on Route 327 in Vinton County led to a passenger’s death and two other injuries.
The crash took place Saturday, May 11 near the Vinton-Ross county line. Killed was Raymond Reynolds of South Bloomingville.
Jeremy Holbert, 32, of Londonderry, was driving his 1991 Ford Mustang westbound on Route 327 when he lost control after a curve, the State Highway Patrol’s Jackson Post stated in a news release.
Holbert’s vehicle reportedly traveled off the right side of the roadway, striking an embankment and a tree.
The Patrol reported that Reynolds was pronounced dead on the scene by Dr. Christine Kremer, the Vinton County coroner.
His brother, Troy Reynolds, 26, of Laurelville, was also a passenger and was reportedly injured in the crash.
Holbert and Troy Reynolds were transported by medical helicopters to Columbus.
Also responding to the scene was the Liberty Twp. Fire Department, Laurelville Fire Department, Vinton County EMS, the Vinton County Sheriff’s Office, Hill’s Funeral Home and Sprouse Towing.
The crash remains under investigation.
