RADCLIFF — A boy and a woman were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash that occurred on Route 32 and Route 160 near Radcliff Tuesday morning, according to the Jackson Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
A 2011 Ford Fiesta driven by a 16-year-old male from Vinton was traveling north on Route 160, crossing Route 32. A 2010 Dodge Journey, driven by Sandy Sickles, 39, of Jackson, was traveling east on Route 32.
The 2011 Ford Fiesta failed to yield at a stop sign and was struck by the 2010 Dodge Journey. Both vehicles then traveled across the west bound lanes of Route 32.
The 2010 Dodge journey came to rest in a field and the 2011 Ford Fiesta came to rest in the west bound berm of Route 32.
The 16-year-old driver was transported by a medical helicopter to Ohio State University Hospital with incapacitating injuries.
Sickles was transported to Holzer Hospital in Jackson by Vinton County EMS and later flown by medical helicopter to an unknown location.
Route 32 was closed for approximately 30 minutes. The Jackson Post was assisted on the scene by Vinton County EMS, the Hamden Fire Department and the Vinton County Ohio Department of Transportation.
