OAK HILL — The Southern Ohio Conference released its all-conference softball teams on Monday, including player, pitcher and coach of the year honors.

In the SOC II, it was Oak Hill’s Caitlyn Brisker receiving honors as Player of the Year while Hailey Robinson from Waverly earned Pitcher of the Year and Wheelersburg’s Teresa Ruby won Coach of the Year.

Brisker’s awards didn’t stop just at SOC Player of the Year, she was also named first-team All-Ohio as she led the Oaks to a 16-10 record this season.

Also on first-team was Wheelersburg’s Boo Sturgill, Sarah Claxton and Christen Risner while Minford’s Brittani Wolfenbarker and Hannah Tolle, Valley’s Kenzie Spencer, Northwest’s Addi Newman, Waverly’s Hannah Robinson, South Webster’s Gwen Messer and West’s Lainey Ayers rounded out the list.

Second-team honorees are led by Oak Hill’s Kailey Adkins. She’s joined by Wheelersburg’s Rylie Hughes and Laney Eller. Alongside them are Minford’s Andi Blevins and Emily Shoemaker, Waverly’s Zoiee Smith and Kristen Blair, South Webester’s Emma Bailey, Northwest’s Laiken Rice, West’s Nataya Richards and Valley’s Madison Williams.

In the SOC I, Symmes Valley’s Sarah Kingery earned honors as Player of the Year, Notre Dame’s Cassie Schaefer was named Pitcher of the Year while Notre Dame’s J.D. McKenzie and Clay’s Jason Gearhart were co-Coaches of the Year.

Along with Kingery and Schaefer on first-team is Notre Dame’s Isabel Cassidy and Claire Dettwiller, Clay’s Preslee Lutz, Shaelyn Vassar and Megan Bazler, Green’s Rachael Cline and Ava Jenkins, New Boston’s Lexus Oiler, Western’s Bailey Elliott, Eastern’s Olivia Hatfield, Symmes Valley’s Kara Saunders and East’s Hannah Ginn.

Leading second-team honors is Clay’s Hannah Oliver and Cassidy Wells, Notre Dame’s Ava Hassel and Taylor Schmidt, Green’s Kasey Kimbler, Eastern’s Madison Southworth, Symmes Valley’s Erica Ross, Western’s Morgan Whitley, East’s Ali Escamille and New Boston’s Taylen Hickman.
