JACKSON — Jackson scored in every inning except one, leading to a 13-5 win over Alexander on Tuesday, April 23.
Alexander falls to 6-11 overall, while Jackson improves to 10-10.
The Spartans scored two runs in the top of the third to lead 2-1. The Ironmen answered with a five-run third to take the lead for good.
Jackson scored three more in the fourth for a 9-2 advantage, before scoring two in the fifth and two in the sixth. Alexander scored a run in the fifth and two more in the sixth.
Alexander had nine hits, led by Luke Chapman’s 3 for 4 day. He drove in two runs.
Drew Davis had two hits and two runs, including a double for Alexander. Cameron Bayha, Mason Hanning, Colby Carsey and Jacob Jordan each had hits.
Hanning took the loss on the mound. He gave up nine earned runs on eight hits and four walks in 3 1-3 innings. He struck out four.
Justin Dille pitched the final 2 2-3 for Alexander.
Boston Kuhn pitched a complete game for Jackson, striking out eight and walking one.
Ty Ruckel hit a double and a triple for the Ironmen, adding a run, RBI and walk. Ty Broermann, Logan Massie, Reece Graham, Holden Blankenship and Isaac Kuhn all had two hits. Broermann drove in three runs.
