JACKSON — Jackson County Municipal Court Judge Mark T. Musick has announced that effective immediately, due to COVID-19, the court is granting some amnesty in regards to fines.
“If a person pays his or her court costs owed to the Jackson County Municipal Court in full, then the court will grant ‘amnesty’ to the payer on the fine portion,” explained Musick. “For those with multiple cases, amnesty will be given for fines on cases in which costs are paid in full from this point forward.”
Musick added, “If someone can only make partial payment of court costs there will still at the least be partial but nevertheless substantial relief on outstanding fines.”
This policy will be in effect through April 30. The Clerk’s Office will remain open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Payments can be made in person at 295 Broadway St. in Jackson, by phone at 740-286-2718, online at www.jacksoncountymunicipalcourt.com, or by mail: Jackson County Municipal Court, 295 Broadway St., Suite 101, Jackson, Ohio 45640.
