JACKSON — The Jackson Post Office, located at 360 E. Main St., has announced that its window service hours will be changing.
Jackson Postmaster David J. North explained via a letter to postal customers that the postal service is constantly striving to provide the most convenient and efficient level of service to its customers.
“To that end, periodic reviews are conducted to determine the appropriate hours to meet the changing postal needs of our customers,” stated North. “Therefore, please be advised that effective Aug. 29, 2020, the window service hours at the Jackson Post Office will be changing.”
The window service hours will now be Monday, through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (closed for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) and open Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. This is a change of opening an hour later during the week, and a half an hour later on Saturday. The hours were 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.
The lobby service hours will remain 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
