JACKSON — The Jackson County Board of Elections has issued a reminder in regards to the deadline for voters to register for the upcoming March Primary Election.

The deadline for voter registration is Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020.

To qualify to vote, you must be: a citizen of the United States; 18 years old on or before Nov. 3, 2020; a resident of Ohio for at least 30 days immediately before Election Day; and registered to vote at least 30 days before Election Day.

You can register online by going to the following website: olvr.ohiosos.gov. You can also visit the Jackson County Board of Elections Office, located at 275 Portsmouth St. in Jackson, to register, too. You can update your address, if needed, as well.

The Jackson County Board of Elections will conduct extended office hours for voter registration on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020. The office will be open from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. All new voter registrations, address and or name changes must be received or postmarked by midnight February 18, 2020 to be eligible to vote in the March 17, 2020 Primary Election.
